IFS Participates in Tropentag 2024 - Exploring Opportunities for Sustainable Natural Resource Management

The International Foundation for Science (IFS) is pleased to announce our participation in Tropentag 2024, a leading conference on tropical and subtropical agriculture, natural resource management, and rural development. This year’s event will be held from September 11-13, 2024, at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) in Vienna, Austria.

Conference Theme: Exploring Opportunities for a Better Life for All

The theme for Tropentag 2024 is "Explore opportunities... for managing natural resources and a better life for all." The conference will bring together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from around the world to discuss innovative strategies for sustainable natural resource management. It will explore how these strategies can contribute to improving livelihoods and ensuring food security, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions.

IFS at Tropentag 2024

IFS is committed to supporting research that leads to sustainable solutions for managing natural resources. At Tropentag 2024, we will engage with global experts to share insights, discuss collaborative opportunities, and explore new approaches to addressing the challenges faced by communities in the Global South.

For those who are attending the congress, we are pleased to inform that, IFS will have a specific session with the theme “Carrying science forward” aiming at providing learning and South- South networking opportunities among IFS grantees from different countries in Asia and Africa.
