Advanced Grant Mentoring Workshop Highlights IFS’s Strengthening Collaboration with SEARCA

From 15-21 June 2021, IFS joined with long-time partner SEARCA, the Philippines-based Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture, to facilitate the first Mentoring Workshop of IFS’s new Advanced Grant. IFS and SEARCA are supporting early-career researchers in Southeast Asia to carry out research on food security issues in the context of the pandemic. Among several intended outcomes, the process is designed so that grantees can think about impact from the start of their projects and engage with people who want to see the change and those who can make it happen. Once the application review process makes its way through the IFS-SEARCA Scientific Advisory Committee, an announcement of the grant awards will be made around the end of July 2021.
